Our church is led by men who serve in the office of pastor or "shepherd." We also refer to these servants as "elders." In Acts 20, the Apostle Paul addressed the "elders of the church" of Ephesus (verse 17). He says, "Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd [i.e., "pastor"] the church of God which He purchased with His own blood." In this text Paul tells "elders" that God has made them "overseers" to "shepherd" or "pastor" His flock. We are privileged to have these men as our elders and pastors.
